Q&A With Timothy Montjoy, Founder of Montjoy Places & Kingdom Founders 2026 Pitch Event Finalist

This is an interview with Timothy Montjoy, Co-Founder of Montjoy Places. Timothy and his startup were one of four finalists selected to compete in our $100K inaugural pitch event last June.

Question: Timothy, congratulations again on being selected as one of four finalists in our inaugural pitch event. What motivated you to apply?

Timothy Montjoy: “We applied because Kingdom Founders’ mission to accelerate Atlanta tech startups through faith-driven leadership directly aligns with the core values we’ve built at Montjoy Places. We are rapidly scaling a major B2B infrastructure platform, and partnering with an investor ecosystem that prioritizes ethical, high-impact business execution is invaluable to our long-term growth.”

Question: What problem does Montjoy Places solve?

Timothy Montjoy: “Legacy mapping giants often fail at the final 1,000 feet, causing commercial fleets to miss hidden loading docks, navigate to the wrong security gates, and suffer costly delivery delays. Montjoy Places solves this expensive “Arrival Gap” by providing a developer-first API platform that empowers enterprises to securely override public map pins with their own precise, private operational coordinates.”

Question: What types of customers do you serve?

Timothy Montjoy: “Our platform is built exclusively for B2B engineering and product teams managing complex transporation and supply chain networks. We serve commercial trucking fleets, global third-party logistics (3PL) providers, and autonomous mobility operators who demand enterprise-grade spatial intellgience with predictable, flat-rate pricing.”

Question: What’s one piece of advice you would give to other founders right now?

Timothy Montjoy: “My advice to founders is to focus relentlessly on solving a highly expensive operational problem for a specific industry rather than building generic, nice-to-have tools. If your technology doesn’t definitively increase customer revenue or eliminate massive operational waste, it will be a challenge to secure the enterprise contracts required to survive and scale.”

Question: What’s the best way for a potential customer to get engaged with your company?

Timothy Montjoy: “The fastest way to engage is for a potential customer’s engineering team to visit our website and access our interactive Developer Portal. From there, they can immediately access our API Sandbox, review our OpenAPI documentation, and securely pilot our spatial database capabilities with zero initial friction.”
